Featured Mission of the Month: Joseph’s Outreach Ministries

Joseph’s Outreach Ministries (JOM) is a local non-profit organization with a mission to provide support services and resources for people seeking assistance; build relationships to assist people in moving toward self-sufficiency; and, nurture spiritual needs of both those being served and those serving.

Joseph’s Center is a homeless day shelter located at 701 7th Avenue East near downtown Hendersonville, with an entrance off Robinson Terrace. It offers several services, including laundry, showers, temporary storage, employment assistance, housing assistance, haircuts and a Sunday evening meal. Volunteers listen to guests and get to know them. Often a prayer or just remembering their name can show guests that someone cares.

Click-here to learn more about the Joseph’s Center Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards from 5-7pm on Friday, April 28.
