Welcome to Meals4Missions

We are making life healthier and easier for you – helping to fund missions in our community.

We regret to announce Meals4Missions will be taking a break due to a First United Methodist Church staff change, which prevent us from providing chef-quality meals at a reasonable price. Our last meal was in October 2017.  We appreciate your loyalty and hope to continue our meals when a new staff member is in place.

Each meal is freshly made on Thursdays and distributed hot that afternoon, with individual meal servings containing 600 calories or less.  Your meals will be pre-packaged in individual servings and ready to enjoy- or share!

We feature two $9. dinner items each week –  a traditional dinner and a dinner-size vegetarian salad. The pick-up date is listed to the left of the item description. e.g., 03.22.18 Shrimp and Grits can be picked-up 3-22-18.

Pick up is from 4pm-6pm on Thursdays at Hendersonville NC First United Methodist Church under the large portico entrance on the parking lot side of the church at Sixth and Buncombe.

We are a web-based business. Please use the “Contact Us” button above to reach us.

For your security, orders are taken online only using PayPal. Once you successfully place your order, you will receive an email from PayPal noting a payment to First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville, Inc. This email is your proof of purchase and will outline the date of your meals and quantity ordered. We will send an email reminder out on the morning you should pick up your meals.

Thank you for supporting Meals4Missions and making a difference in our community and beyond- one meal at a time!

Instructions:

  1. Order your meals before Wednesday at noon.
  2. Pick up your meals at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church, 204 6th Ave W., between 4 and 6pm on Thursday.

Featured Mission of the Month: ZOE

First United Methodist Church supports 19 local and international missions through the FUMC missions budget. One of these organizations is featured each month.

ZOE’s mission is to equip orphans and vulnerable children across the world to move beyond poverty and never need charity again. ZOE invites children who are living in extreme poverty, often raising younger brothers and sisters, to join a supportive group meeting in their own communities. These children are given skills and resources to lift themselves out of poverty and into productive lives in just three years. Since 2013 First UMC has partnered with seven groups of children in four countries: Rwanda, Kenya, India and Guatemala.  With our support, over 600 orphans have started businesses, returned to school, even higher education, live in safe houses, practice good hygiene and are free from abuse and exploitation.  For more information contact Carol Watson at carolhw313@gmail.com.
